Prolotherapy and Menical Injury - Video News

In this video, leading Prolotherapy doctor, Ross Hauser, M.D. explains how Prolotherapy can repair meniscus damage.

Some athletes are not aware what the meniscus does for the knee joint. There is a medial meniscus and then there is a lateral meniscus. The meniscus increases the surface area upon which the femur bone attaches to the joint, so that helps disseminates the pressure on the articular cartilage.

Most athletes who have a meniscus tear and go through knee surgery, the surgeon will end up taking out the part of the meniscus where the tear is. The reason they take that part out, is the meniscus repairs terribly by itself.

But the meniscus repairs great with Prolotherapy injections. If I was going to say anything in regard to meniscus degeneration or meniscus tears is that you need to induce the torn meniscus to repair. The way you induce the repair is with . Prolotherapy treatments.

Prolotherapy is a series of injections that can replace the need for surgery. The injections contain natural substances which accelerate healing and tissue repair. We inject these Prolotherapy solutions into the joint which goes to the meniscus to stimulate the repair. Prolotherapy is very effective at eliminating the pain and disabilities associated with meniscus tears and meniscus degeneration.

There is no known cure for arthritis. Prolotherapy and nutritional supplements can help alleviate, reverse, or end arthritic pain by treating an underlying cause that contributes to degenerative disease, ligament laxity. Strengthening ligaments and other connective tissue can help prevent bone on bone arthritis from developing.
